I have always believed in “THINK POSITIVE, BE POSITIVE”, but somehow this belief trembled today- and it was hard for me to convince myself.
It was an unexpected and rather unique start to a day that was going to turn into the worst day of my life. I was happy, refreshed, upbeat…all the good things!
Sat on time for my classes and then “DING” the phone went with a new message. I opened it, and guess what? It was the results of the English Debate. And no, I didn’t secure a position. No biggie, right? I mean there are others too! But try explaining this to me that time- IMPOSSIBLE, full stop.
You know, at times (always) losing makes me really (x infinity) upset. It’s hard for me to see defeat- and trust me, not only with myself, in movies too. Sad endings are (way) bad too, and I can’t stop crying. Like the “NEW YORK”, or “DHADAK” movie. I can’t accept death and, you know, bad things, so I always watch the endings first. But I can’t fast-forward life, can I?
One class that I really reallyreally look forward to- after the whole hectic day- is DRAMA! It’s fun! We had to act as lawyers and prove the culprit innocent and guilty as per discretion. I lost that case too! And you know why? Because my teammate went against me as she got confused between the names of me and my opposition team. But to be fair to her, she did do a pretty good job on whatsoever she did, and I could have up my game a little too. The other team deserved to win, and there is no regretting that. Except that, it did add up to make it the worst day. Even writing couldn’t help me (I was too frustrated to do so). I thought of a point basketball match with my friends. Whether I lost or not, it soothed me and kinda helped me relax my nerves. That’s why I called this day a “NOT-SO” worst one.
Now, as am sitting on my desk, with the blinds open, giving me a beautiful view, here’s how I would conclude.
As I said earlier, we can’t fast-forward life, we have to face it! And let’s accept to face the reality- challenges, mistakes, defeats…everything!
Mistakes are step-stones to success and victory. And I mean, what’s life without NEW adventures and surprises? Even if I had gotten a chance to see what will happen when I grow up, I won’t- because then there’s no fun. How can I state that? Let me give you an example: –
You go to a movie (What!? That’s the only thing that came to my mind), with a few assumptions and predictions of what it’s going to be like. If it turns to be exactly like what you thought, you would say it’s boring, and no doubt it would be. If it changes its climax and turns out to be totally unexpected, that’s what you call a GRRRREEEAATTT movie. So think of this m0vie as your life- the hero might suddenly die, but then who knows he starts a new afterlife and brings change to the world. We are all yet to face THE CLIMAX in our individual lives 😉 SO SAY CHEESE! AND LIVE IN THE MOMENT ✌ It might just be a bad day, but remember, NOT A BAD LIFE!Oh, and you might want to change the heading of this blog to A NEW GREAT DAY!
